Chapter 526 is highly involved in the EAA's Young Eagles Program.
Our Young Eagles program is simple. Parents or legal guardians just need to show up and sign the necessary Young Eagle forms then watch their youngster (ages 8 to 17) fly with one of our qualified pilots. If its their first flight with EAA, they will receive a certificate and log book filled out by their respective pilot. Inside the log book will be a special access code that allows your youngster to go on line and see their name in the largest log book in the world. New to 2010, is a program that allows Young Eagles to receive a free student membership to join EAA which would be valid until their 19th birthday. But the good news doesn't stop there! EAA has added additional aviation related programs and scholarships that could result in streamlining their aviation career. So, if you are interested in our free Young Eagle flights, please check out our "Chapter Events" section for a schedule of Young Eagle flights in our area.
